Contractual and delivery terms and conditions for the Gauppa Webshop.

We sell our products to private persons aged 18 years or older in Finland and elsewhere. The products held in the online store include value added tax. We reserve the right to make alterations to product ranges, prices and postage costs.

Ordering

Products are ordered via our online shop at www.gauppa.fi. All orders will be confirmed by email, including the value of the order, delivery costs and the products ordered. The making of an order and receipt of the order confirmation requires that an email address is given in connection with the order.
In connection with each order the customer shall comply with the currently valid terms of delivery.

Payment

The purchases made in the online store are paid in connection with making the order. For all payments, the Gauppa Webshop uses the payment service maintained by Checkout Finland Oy:

The Gauppa Webshop is responsible for the marketing of products and services and delivers the products to the buyer, as well as taking care of all legal and other obligations related to the purchase.

Payment using an online banking service or by sending an invoice or making a hire purchase agreement

Once you have left the online store checkout and entered the payment stage, the Checkout payment service will send your payment to the vendor. All Finnish online banking services are available. According to the transitional provision of the Payment Institutions Act, Checkout Finland Oy has been entered into the Payment Institution Register maintained by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority.

The Joustoraha service is intended for all private Finnish citizens over the age of 20 years for purchases of a maximum value of EUR 1000.

The Everyday online payment service is intended for all private Finnish citizens over the age of 18 years for purchases of a maximum value of EUR 1000. Customers are given an average of 45 days of payment time without extra charges.

When you have selected your means of payment from the alternatives provided, the transaction service will redirect you to the payment system. Once you have accepted the payment and you return to the online store, the payment will immediately be registered as paid to the vendor. The payment is transferred to the account owned by Checkout Finland Oy, from which it is transferred to the vendor.

Paying using credit cards

Payments may be made by all credit cards accepted by Luottokunta: Visa, Visa Electron and Mastercard.

Uisng the Luottokunta credit cards, the sale occurs between the customer and Suomen Ostolaskut Oy (Business ID: 2284303-3). Suomen Ostolaskut Oy is the recipient of the payment and an affiliate of Luottokunta that later transfers the credit card payments to the vendor.

Suomen Ostolaskut Oy is an official affiliate of the Checkout Finland Oy payment service provider.

Order confirmation

Once you have paid for your purchases we will send you an order confirmation by email where you can find our contact details, a summary of your purchases, the price of the purchase and delivery charges.

If you have registered a username with the online store, you can check the contents of the order via the user account link found on our website.

Means of delivery and delivery charges

Delivery charges include postage and packing costs. You can review the delivery charges by clicking on means of payment and delivery in the shopping cart. Orders will be delivered by letter post, Maxi letter or as a postal package handled by Itella. For products sent electronically, such as travel tickets, delivery instructions are product-specific.

We dispatch online store products collectively once a week, mainly on Tuesdays. Letters are sent by second class post. Itella’s delivery time for letter post is two working days and for postal packages 1 – 2 working days from the date of dispatch.

Terms and conditions for exchanging and returning a product or service

In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, the customer is entitled to a 14-day exchange and return policy. The return policy only applies to unused and resalable products in their original packaging.

When returning a product, please include the following information: your customer number, name, address, telephone number and email address, bank account number, and a copy of the order confirmation.

We cannot accept products that are returned later than 14 days from the date of delivery. Once the return of the product has been accepted, the funds will be reimbursed directly to your account after receipt and processing of the returned product.

H2. Return policy on transportation and restaurant services

In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 6 Article 16) consumers' right for exchange or return is restricted in certain product groups.

For transportation services and electronically delivered tickets the consumer does not have the right to exchange or return.

For restaurant services and electronically delivered dinner vouchers, for groups larger than 4 persons, cancellation has to be made at least 7 days before the date the order was made. For groups size of 4 persons or smaller, cancellation has to be made at least 1 day before the date the order was made.

Problems with transportation and defective products

If the product has been mislaid during transportation, is defective, or you have received the wrong product, contact our customer service immediately via email at asiakaspalvelu@gauppa.fi or call: +358 10 320 1591.

The notification of wrong delivery or defective product must be done within 14 days of receiving the product. If the package was damaged in the mail, a complaint should be immediately lodged with the post office.

Miscellaneous

We reserve the right to make alterations to our delivery terms. Before making an order, the customer should read the delivery terms valid for each product.

Gauppa Webshop handles all customer information in the strictest confidence.

Without receiving prior consent from the customer, the customer’s contact details shall not be used for the marketing purposes of the Gauppa Webshop or its partners.

The customer’s contact details can be given to the supplier of the goods for the purpose of posting the products, if the supplier is an organisation other than Gauppa Webshop. In cases such as these the supplier of the goods is mentioned in connection with the product description.
